Forminit alternative

Lamofel is a Forminit alternative for HTML forms when you want a small, low-priced form backend that stores each submission and emails it to your confirmed address (messages flagged as spam are stored, not emailed). Forminit lists more features than Lamofel -- such as file uploads, webhooks, an autoresponder and integrations -- and it is the better choice if you need them.

When Forminit is the better choice

Forminit offers more than Lamofel does. Its pricing page lists file upload on every plan (100 MB of storage on Free, 1 GB on Pro, 10 GB on Business); an autoresponder, webhooks, Slack and Discord notifications, Google Sheets, CSV export, Zapier and form analytics on Pro; and a custom email sender and removal of Forminit branding on Business. It also lists workflows. Its pricing FAQ says that by default submissions are kept until you delete them, and that on Pro and higher you can pick a retention period per form (30, 90 or 365 days, or a custom period).

Lamofel does not accept file uploads, and Lamofel's plans page lists no webhooks or integrations. If you need uploads, webhooks or an autoresponder, choose Forminit.

When Lamofel fits

Lamofel fits when you want each submission stored and emailed to a confirmed address, with records kept for 30 days and then deleted (Lamofel does not offer a longer period), at a lower price: Lamofel's Pro plan is USD 9 a month for 5,000 messages, against Forminit's $16 a month for 5,000 submissions. Both free plans allow 100 a month. Forminit's FAQ says that when its monthly allowance is used up, forms pause and reject new submissions until the allowance renews (or straight away after an upgrade), and that submissions sent while a form is paused are not stored or queued.

Lamofel's Free plan includes a "Powered by" footer on the thanks page. Every plan works with AI assistants you connect, such as Claude (and ChatGPT in Business, Enterprise and Edu workspaces) -- how to connect -- at no extra charge. Support is by email, with a reply within 2 business days (India time, Monday to Friday).

Its free form generators cover contact, waitlist, RSVP and feedback forms. Generating a form does not require an account. Starter and Pro can be bought on the plans page, and you can ask for a refund within 30 days of a payment.
